  1. Please provide me with the 3 art places you mentioned to obtain art for my walls. You mentioned them too rapidly for me even by reversing the video. Thanks

  2. Thank you! Some of these sofas were on the focal wall and some were faced toward the focal wall. How do you know which you should do in your room?

    1. Depends on what you want to focus on Lenora. Check out my video on how to create a stunning focal wall for the living room for more tips and illustrations 👍🏻☺️

  3. Hi julie, I love your show it’s very knowledgably. I was wondering if you could help me. I have a living room with lounge and dinning room full of clutter. Just not sure where to place my L shape lounge as i have it already facing a brick wall where the TV is now. and behind the lounge which is up against the wall has a window behind it where if i turned the lounge around i could see the pool and a sliding door will be facing the lounge. it’s a rectangular room and also has a dinning table and other cupboards in it too. so confused in what to do. is it better changing it to the opposite direction looking over the pool or use the lounge to cut the room in half?
    Help please

    1. I would use the lounge to help define the living area which means one side of it will back the dining room. This layout helps create “zones” and squares each space out more Darren

    1. Yes, when it swallows up the entire room, reaches the baseboard and doesn’t define an area

  4. I have accent walls that’s just paint but my entire house has them and it’s very intentional . They all dark colours that look almost black. And they flow through the house, almost on an ombre.

  5. i like most of the advice on her channel BUT the impractical choices I see so often really bugs me. I get the accent chairs that make more out of a space but the fact that NO ONE would ever choose to sit in them is not logical. It’s the same thing with a bed with 50 pillows or a table treatment that requires finding a place for the items so that you can actually use the table (or bed.)
These chairs look nice but look crazy uncomfortable. I don’t think it is reasonable to ask someone to use furniture that you would have difficulty using for its designed purpose – sitting in this instance.

    1. Sure, you can do whatever aligns with your design intent Shakti! If you feel like it needs to match, then place an end table next to the shorter sofa to fake a longer length

  6. Hi Julie I’m new to your channel 😁 I love your ideas and designs.. I really need your help on my long rectangle open floor plan. I’ve been here 4 years now and it still doesn’t feel like “home” to me and my kids.. what should I do

    1. Watch my video on the long and narrow room in the awkward space series Ashley- tons of tips on space planning. Also the video on maximizing your living room layout will help immensely 👍🏻☺️

  7. What is the correct height in this case 5:40?
Any better solution for super high spaces like that?

  8. Good point about matchy and for regular person matching different textures shades etc is a science 🙌
